ABSTRACT
Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is chronic disease that happen
because deficiency or not sensitive insulin, it will make hyperglycemia
condition. Deficiency or insulin not sensitive make storage fatty acid in the
liver to adipose tissue is inhibit and can cause increase demolition fatty as a
energy. This condition contribute to enzyme Lipase Sensitive Hormone more
active to hydrolysis storage triglyceride so fatty acid and glycerol will be
loose to the blood circulation and it will be ketoacidosis condition in the
body. Uncontrolled blood glucose level causes a lot of complication. Diabetes
Mellitus patient have to consume drugs long life time, so that find to find
therapy with minimal adverse effect one of herb suspect can decrease level of
trigliserida; gel green cincau leaves (Cyclea
barbata). Depend on testimony Chlorophyll of green cincau leaves consist of
pektin(fiber), saporin, flavanoid, alkaloid and magnesium which has function to
increase sensitivity of insulin, repair
the damage cell, generate energy and oxygen to help carbohydrate metabolism. The aim of this study is to know the effect
of gel green cincau leaves toward level of triglyceride in diabetic mice
induced with alloxan.
This
is laboratory experimental pre-test and post-test control group design. Subject
experiment are 15 Sprague Dawley mice,
age 2-3 month, body weight 200gr-450gr and divide into ; normal mice, DM
aloksan mice, and aloksan +cincau mice. Triglyceride examine with GPO-PAP (triglyceride). The data
was analyzed with t independent test, paired t test and ANOVA.
The results showed that DM+cincau
before is 137,2±6,8 and after is101,8±5,6 (p=0,0001) for triglyceride level,
where p>0,05 showed significant differences statically after 28 days treat
with gel green cincau leaves. Conclusion, there was significant differences
that is decreasing of triglyceride level, after treat with gel green cincau
leaves.
