The differentiation of the effect in giving supplement of goat milk and cow milk with children intelligence at 3-5 years old in komplek pendidikan terpadu insan utama playgroup of yogyakarta



ABSTRACT

The quality of children’s growth and development  is really determined by filling the necessary of nutrition and energy. The milk is one of the supplement that’s really needed in growth and development of children. The milk that is found commonly  in community  are goat milk and cow milk. Cow milk contains folic acid and Vitamin B1, B2, B6 and B12 that is higher than goat milk.  The folic acid, vitamin B1, B2, B6 and B12 have role for development of children’s brain especially the level of children’s intelligence.   Growth and development of children can be measured with anthropometry that is one of its indicator is the level of intelligence. This research’s samples are children 3-5 years old, because the growth of the children in this age is still fast but become slow step by step.
 The objective of research is to know the effect of giving goat milk and cow milk to the level of children’s intelligence.
This research is experimental field with pretest and posttest. The subjects of this research are children 3-5 years old in Playgroup Komplek Pendidikan Terpadu Insan Utama Bantul, Yogyakarta. The instrument of research  is using questioner and stopwatch.
The data that’s gained is analyzed using T-test and the result of analysis is p=0,121 which is p>0,005, it means this research has no significant differentiation of effect between goat milk and cow milk.
